We are very dissatisfied and upset with the customer service experience and the treatment we received from Triad Corrugated Metal at the Asheboro, NC location for the last 6 months. This team and owners are not designed to handle warranty claims or any complaints and do not make them a priority. They are rude and unprofessional. We have a green metal roof that was installed in 2010 with a 30-year paint fade warranty which TCM refuses to honor. We filed a warranty claim with them and they advised us in an unsigned denial letter, after inspecting it, that it only needed cleaning and the claim was closed. They also advised we need an original purchase receipt, which the warranty does not state we have to have. We had it professionally cleaned with no success, and had drone pictures taken, but TCM has refused our request to meet by simply not answering. The President, Patrick Smith, nor Dean Cox will not take our calls or answer our emails. We consulted a contract attorney, which we have never had to do in any transactions, and was advised with the documentation we have the only recourse would be to sue this company. He felt we could win a settlement, but his fees would not be covered. So here we are with a defective roof with a warranty that is not being honored, and the only way we can reach an agreement is to pay massive attorney fees, which would amount to the cost of a new roof. What would you do in our situation? How sad to have to walk away and pay for a new roof to be installed, just because of poor customer service and not caring about the ethics of honoring what you say you will. With the costs today, we will have to give up what we thought would increase the value of our home, and have a regular shingle roof installed. We do not want anyone to go through what we have faced with TCM. We do not recommend this company nor will we do business with them in the future.
