This place is horrible if you can in any way don't let your family members get taken there they feed them crap meals never get a hot breakfast they are aloud to have one lil styrofoam cup of cereal they say they are there to help but they aren't they offer no help with housing for clients getting out and have no where to go they recently in January of 2023 have not been giving proper documentation of the clients money accounts to them they say they want you to work so you can save money for when you are released but they don't offer transportation to and from work they give cab vouchers til you get you first check then it's 100 a week for a cab if you work 5 days a week then the alvis house gets 25 percent of the gross of your check so after all said and done you are barely putting any money back they help with no resources they don't help you get a government phone they don't help you get medical insurance or food stamps or housing for it being a treatment facility they don't even offer you AA or NA meetings there they don't help at all and if you was trying to stay clean off drugs you be when you leave there the staff still treats them as they where still in prison and worse someone needs step up and help the clients there really they need I know first hand iam a client here at Alvis in Chillicothe ohio
