this is one of the most frustrating experiences... especially for a county funded function. The Magistrate's office is pretty much shut down. You call the provided number and it rings & rings with no voice mail or answering service. You can show up to their building but it is locked and there is no indication on when they will show up. You can go to the Sheriff and ask to have access to the magistrate but the magistrate office has limited hours and I was personally told to "come back later" by the deputy sheriff.. I ended up calling the VA Beach, North Hampton & Norfolk VA Magistrates (who actually answered their phones) but was told I needed to speak with Accomack due to my issue.... Still trying to figure out how to bring charges against someone & it has been over 2 months.
