I was a loyal customer of Johns produce for the last 20+ years until today. I live less than a mile away. I have spend thousands of dollars each year at this location. Last night my son spent $16 dollars on a rubber band gun that lasted less than 2 hours when we went to return it they refused to let us return it as he broke it and his fault "he was rough with it". A $16 dollar toy should last longer 2-hours. Any other stores including Walmart would of returned it. Had the toy been a $ 5 dollar toy I would not of tried to return it but he worked for the money to buy it. The owners words were she works hard for her money and she would not take a loss for a boy being rough with a toy. I work hard for my money too, but I take a loss at times for the sake of my clients. She has lost a loyal customer. Though my business might not matter to her this time of year with the greenhouse so busy. Beware of a owners attitude like this before you purchase from them. Especially eager little children. I am heartbroken as the store was convenient for us to go, and we like to support local business first but we will not be going there anymore. I will take my business elsewhere.
